Runibex / WAT Mobility — Operational mobility ecosystem

A product partnership connecting the charging experience with station and field operations.

My design role

Product strategy, operational experience and design work with Runibex.

Problem

Making device status, user actions and operational information understandable within one experience.

Design approach and decision

Considering mobile charging flows, real-time states and operational layers together.

Output

Product flows and design work across charging experience and operational layers.

Mobility systems

With Runibex, I work on WAT Mobility’s charging experience, operational systems and scalable mobility infrastructure.

Product layers worked on together

The work with Runibex goes beyond producing screens, establishing a sustainable system language across WAT Mobility’s product and operational layers.

Charging experience

Mobile app experience, user flows and real-time state management.

Operational systems

Field operations, station management and operational visibility.

Payment and trust flows

Payment recovery scenarios, confidence and critical user states.

White-label structures

System infrastructure adaptable to different brands and operating models.

Design systems

Creating a scalable, sustainable product language.

Long-term product partnership

The work with Runibex is based on a long-term model of thinking together with product teams, beyond individual project deliveries.

Product strategy, operational experience, rapid validation and scalable systems were considered together.

The aim was to develop sustainable products that work with real-world operations, beyond producing designs.

Working with real-world systems

Mobility products extend beyond digital experiences.

User behaviour, field operations, payment systems, device states and real-time decision mechanisms are direct parts of the product experience.

Design, operations and systems thinking were therefore considered together throughout the work.

From a station to a charging session

Finding a station, choosing a socket and tracking a charging session provide a concrete example of the mobile flow. Device status and the user’s next action need to be understandable together.
